Following Jennie and Rose’s comebacks of SOLO and On the Ground, Lisa returned this Friday with her very own. The comeback featured two new tracks: LALISA and MONEY.
With the first track, LALISA, being mostly Korean, I needed the help of a translator as I am not very proficient in Korean. The two songs had, as per usual, amazing production as KPop most of the time do. The songs really get you up and I can already see myself running on the treadmill to the track.
Within a few minutes, I find myself to be singing the tunes of LALISA even after the track is off the speaker. I decided for myself to check out the music video for the comeback. Once again, as per usual, the visuals of the music video are aesthetically pleasing to the eye. As well as the cinematography perfectly matching with the production of the song, and the outfits of every performer featured in the video. If there is one thing Korea does better than the U.S., it has to be their advanced skilling in cinematography and making visuals that are so addictive and pleasing to the eyes.
Lastly, the production and Lisa’s switch-of-flows throughout the song really made me lose focus on the lyrics. Looking over the lyrics afterward, this is definitely a song to scream the lyrics with your friends or just gesture crazy motions that I call dancing. This is one more song added to my daily playlist.
With the three members of Blackpink having their solo comebacks, we have Jisoo left to look forward to and I can’t wait to hear what she might have in store for us and the amazing visuals to bless my eyes with.
